Workers Comp

Once you are set up in our system, Savvy Nanny will run your payroll, file, pay your taxes, and provide year-end documents.  Like other payroll services, Workers’ Compensation is not automatically provided as it is a separate area of expertise.

Do you have to purchase a Workers’ Comp Policy?  The short answer is, “yes”.  Most states require it. And even if not required, you need to protect yourself from liability.  So how to get a policy?  Many households add workers’ comp coverage onto their existing homeowners policy.  This is often cost effective.  However, policy limits may expose you to liability, and homeowners policies are not stable in many states where insurers are pulling out.

We researched your options, and recommend our partner, Bhalu Insurance.  Bhalu specializes in workers compensation for household employees.  Please follow their link to find out more.  They even provide a state-by-state guide to requirements in your state.
